A few week ago, I have ordered a small gadget DZ09, smart watch. The sound is not very impressive because the gadget isn’t the latest item in this technology world. But it is really good item for me cause within this smart watch I can insert 1 SIM card, Micro SD memory, listen to FM Radio using micro USB earphone, camera and especially browsing internet via GPRS while some other smart watch exclude this feature. The idea of smart watch is Bluetooth notification means it is used to pair with mobile phone, send and receive application data and display in a small screen of your watch. So, you could phone somebody, SMS or get some notification without getting out mobile phone from your pocket. However, the idea is not really satisfy the consumer needs cause there is nothing to do with your watch without mobile phone. But now, DZ09 is really fine because this smart watch can work independently. It has 1 Micro SIM slot and works functionally as a phone. That’s an awesome gadget!
Today, I am going to describe how to configure GPRS in DZ09. It is not really important to configure GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) on your smart watch because you can use internet on your smart phone and it is better, faster and bigger screen. But let’s imagine, if you forgot your battery charger and went somewhere far or without electricity, your phone’s battery is lower and you want some internet service. Therefore, you could have the last choice is browsing internet on your little gadget, smart watch.
Please follow the guideline below to configure your smart watch DZ09 internet connection:
Requirement:
- Exactly, you need a smart watch, DZ09
- Micro SIM card x1
Instruction:
- Go to Menu -> Setting
- Connectivity
- Data accounts -> Options -> Add SP account
- Fill GPRS config. info -> Options -> Save
- Set as default
You could get configuration information from your mobile carrier website or their agent. In this example, I am using Smart Mobile in Cambodia which is required to fill APN (=smart) to connect to their internet service. Please enjoy!
