MTN Nigeria has recently launched its first ever fully Tv broadcast and services OTT-VOD service. This means that from now Nigerians can watch any TV programs on their different Smartphones and several other electronic devices like on our Iptv box through the software installation via Over-the-Top platforms like other apps in real time services.
NBC issued MTN with the 700MHz broadband licence last year which is a digital broadcast licence that require them to portray broadcasting services, simultaneously with its data and voice service to deliver such business to subscribers worldwide.
From recent report, the CEO, MTN Nigeria, subscribers will have the freedom to
watch their favourite programmes when they choose the MTN Video-on-Demand service, “rather than having to watch at a specific broadcast time.”
Once we commence full commercial activities, the TV service will deliver an exciting bouquet of rich quality local and international content to Nigerians”.
MTN nigeria has promised to bring 4G LTE this year and we anxiously waiting for that. 4G is the real deal for major mobile carriers in Africa as other European countries have already advanced in this way.
